What is Canine Massage?
A holistic therapy which looks to treat the whole dog not just the area of concern.
It helps to rehabilitate soft tissue and muscular injuries such as strains, sprains and tight ‘knots’ within the muscle known as trigger points.
Clinical Canine Massage Therapy is suitable for soft tissue injury rehabilitation and for chronic pain management of orthopaedic conditions as well as pre and post-operative care. It is commonly used amongst sporting, performance and agility competitors too.
The 4 disciplines of massage are used encompassing over 50 techniques from Swedish, Deep Tissue and Sports massage, also Myofascial Release – both direct and indirect approaches.
It can provide 100% drug free pain relief in a number of chronic conditions and is suitable for all dogs from young, old, family pet and sporting/activity.
Dogs that respond to this form of therapy generally show an improvement in mobility, pain management and activity levels within 1-3 sessions.
